Australian Institute of Technology & Education provides student welfare and support services for students in recognition that factors other than academic ability can significantly affect a student's ability to achieve their academic goals and personal potential.
While studying at AITE, Students have trainers as mentors, for study management, goal setting activities and career guidance. Trainers assist students to achieve their academic goals and maintain satisfactory course progress. Students experiencing difficulties associated with health issues and personal struggles, may discuss such problems with the Student Counsellor.
The student welfare support program and strategies consists of the following elements:
- Conduct of an orientation program providing information to students to assist them in their studies and living in Melbourne;
- Workshops on such topics as - living in Melbourne; learning about Australian culture; hints on adjusting to living away from home; applying for a job
- Links with external welfare support agencies
- Arranging where necessary Airport pick-up and/or acommodation (fees apply).
