AITE stars in 'All Nations Spectacular'
On Monday 12 October, AITE participated in an external cultural event hosted by one of our industry partners – Sambell Lodge. The ‘All Nations Spectacular’ treated over 400 aged care facility residents, staff and volunteers to a celebration of the diverse cultures of our community.
As an AITE industry partner, Paul Brophy – Manager of Sambell Lodge SRS (under the umbrella of the Brotherhood of St Laurence) – invited AITE students to take part in the event.
A group of Community Welfare Work students prepared a fantastic production, performing cultural dances and songs and a catwalk display of cultural dress. They were a huge hit on the day.
Representatives of local and international media also attended the event as well as political representatives. AITE has received extremely positive feedback for our participation and the student’s performance in this event.
We look forward to getting involved in more community activities in future.
