Further to the Victorian Governmentís initiative to enhance Victoriaís presence in China, so too the Australian Institute of Technology and Education (AITE) has taken the entrepreneurial initiative to continue to grow its relations with China in the international education arena.
On the 28th march, 2005 Chief Executive Officer, Bill Kardamitsis visited China for official discussions with Shenyang University to affiliate with the AITE in delivering Australian education programs at the University in China.
The cooperation framework agreement ceremony was held in the meeting hall of Shenyang University, with due formality and seriousness.
President of Shenyang University, Mr.Sun Tieyan attended the ceremony where Deputy President Gao Feng and Chief Executive Officer of AITE, Mr Bill Kardamitsis signed the agreement on behalf of each respective Institution.
Mr. Sun announced his excitement in hosting the Australian guests and emphasized that he was confident that the four principles for cooperation, of equal and mutual benefit, guarantee of quality, high standard of management and creativity in the systems, will be upheld by the Australian Institute of Technology and Education.
Mr. Kardamitsis in turn, expressed the Instituteís commitment to upholding all of the principals and further emphasized the Instituteís aims in maintaining high quality of delivery and management of all courses delivered. Mr. Kardamitsis highlighted that the affilitation between AITE and Shenyang University to being the benchmark for future such agreements.
By taking this initiative, AITE management has committed to implementing a relationship which will support and promote the high quality of Australian educational qualifications and which will acknowledge and strengthen Sino-Australian relations and in particular Victoriaís bridge of opportunity for both countries.
